"You want me to write about you?" I wonder.

"I wouldn't ask, but a girl likes to be noticed.

She likes to be mentioned."

"So you want me to write about you."

"I didn't say that."

"So you don't want me to write about you."

"Look," she says, "Just forget it."

And I do

for a while

until she asks again how come I never write about her.
