I can't believe I'm here

back at the scene of the crime

doing what I swore

should be better left alone.

I thought of was free of this pull

but here I am

cat rustling again.

know the punishment's worse this time

know where I'll be at the end of the day

eyes over my shoulder

hat in my hand

urging my ride on� on� on�

away from where I used to call home

all for the sake

of this furry prize.

It's a mistake.

I should give up before I begin

should choose safe game

like horse - or rhino.

I could bear any suffering easier than this

but that's not my fate.

I cannot escape

til the end of my days
