RESPONDING TO EDWIN

War is good for the flowers.

Oh, not this bunch!

(that's just silly)

But future flowers

they will take advantage of what war has done to this environment

they will thrive on the earth made rich with blood

and guts

and guys and gals.

The flowers of tomorrow

will thank the soldiers of today

for their generosity

and their good grace

in giving their lives over

eventually

to beauty.

So clearly

the peaceniks

(so quick to judge)

have not thought their position through

quite so well as they should.
