CATTLE

They wish to be led

they want to be told where to go

and how

and when.

They are sheep

they are lemmings

they are actors

seeking direction

asking for motivation

searching for a way

to do things

they way they are supposed to.

They live their lives

avoiding desperation

performing as best they can

whatever way

will make them sleep well.

They are cattle

grazing within gates.

Pigs

snuffling in pens.

They are birds

caged by choice

and

if I could find the key

to open their door

I would do so

and join them

on the inside.
