FRIENDSHIP

It would never work.

The differences between us

are slight

which is why we get along

but

that same natural mix

of oil and oil

would require little spark

to create a cacophony of explosions

a murder of blows

parliament of percussion.

It could be all the variety

all the spice

all the life

required, desired

for a thousand lifetimes

but more likely

it would be awful, hateful

and over in a wink.

It wouldn't work

so we shouldn't even try.
