BEING DEAD

Being dead has its perks.

No alarm clocks.

No hunger or fear or desire -

everything's been sated.

It's calm and quiet underground

and all the things that made life so hectic?

Unknown.

It's relaxing.

You're muscles can untense.

You can sit back

and smell the dirt.

Competition is light for resources

No one's in a rush.

Life (or its lack) is simple.

Being dead could be a whole lot worse.

It's not enough of a consolation

but it helps.
