SECURITY

There are certain things

too important to be undone

things that cause the end of everything

if you allow them to disappear

like gravity

or Flintstones reruns.

There are parts of the structure

without which

everything falls.

There are poles

or walls, or light fixtures

around which everything hinges.

You are that thing

you are that structure

and I cannot imagine

how long life will go on

without you

nor do I wish to see.
