The plastic flowers

you bought me

afterwards

have now lasted far longer

than you ever did.

They have stayed with me

healthy and beautiful

so much time after you've been here

as a keepsake

as a reminder.

The flowers have had greater longevity

than you ever could

and I so strongly wish

even after all this time

that you had gotten me live flowers

so that they could die.
