to make the money
that keeps you in jeans
and johns?


Does she have inkling
of your existence
when she's not around?


You mom knows
or supposes.
She has an idea of what goes on
in her absence.
She senses the sex you have
frequently
with more than a few fans of your... skills.


But your mom believes
that you're making love.
With a special someone
someone who cares.
She doesn't really know
what's happened behind closed car doors
beside injection alleyways
beneath pissed-upon boardwalks.
There is no love made,
only making hate.
