If you were to eat ice cream

you know what I'd do?

Beside you I'd stand

napkin in hand

to dab away drips on your lips

and clean you.

Should you ever fall

you know what I'd do?

Before you I'd kneel

off the ground I would steal

your body and make sure you healed

well and true.

And what if you cried?

You know what I'd do?

I'd wipe off your eyes

and tell you many lies

to bring back your smile which I'd fasten

with glue.

But if you just left me

you know what I'd do?

I couldn't quite say

should you walk away

I have no idea how I'd live my life

without you.
