THE TROUBLE WITH STALKING XII

The trouble with stalking is:

The good ones are always taken.

Jodie Foster, Lennon, Bingo Gazingo.

When they find out,

they look at you like you're dirt.

- not good dirt either, dirt that can heal

dirt that can grow

dirt that has made something of itself.

No, they look at you like...

you're dirty.

The trouble with stalking is:

big boyfriends

big brothers

big grandsons.

The trouble with stalking is:

no matter how many nights you devote,

evenings on surveillance,

days across the street, waiting

hours of anticipating for a 'chance meeting,'

however vast your investment,

as much as you give

no one ever returns the favor.
