ETERNAL RETURN


I return to you
as I swore I would
before.
I re-enter your life
through the same door
from which I left.
I once was gone
but now I'm back.
I have seen things,
things I'd love to share with you
long for the opportunity to tell
things that made me what I am today
so different from he whom you once knew.


I cannot tell you a thing
cannot share why I've returned
what brings me back to your home
what I've learned
and how I've changed
and who I care for
and why and how
until you open up

to return to you.
