My girlfriend is leaving me

because of you.

Because of my feelings

my fantasies

my desire

for you.

Because of the looks I give

and the words I say

to her

when it should be she and she alone

I am thinking of

she is leaving me.

She thinks that I have been untrue

and in a way

I have.

All my energy goes into you

and she knows it

and has reacted.

So while, in act,

I have been pure

and chaste

and right;

in action,

she has left me

because of you.
