I made the bacon the other day.
It wasn't as good as yours.
not as crisp
not as tasty
not as sharp.
You'd say, you have to fry it under a simmering flame
and I'd say fry?
I barely understand the terms
the mechanisms
the experience you have in these matters.
Not that it matters, anyway.
I couldn't use medium heat
I don't know how.
All I can do is turn the intensity up to twelve
and hope for the best
all I can do is burn it up
burn it out
leave myself soggy charred remains
of that which was once so delicious.
I made bacon the other day.
