It has become clear

you will regret me.

You will see the error of your ways

you will recognize how bad an idea I am

and you will seek to rectify it.

It must be so;

you're too clever

too good

for it to be otherwise.

You will attempt to fix this horrid mistake

and it will be soon.

There is nothing to be done (for me)

but seek to enjoy the ride

or perhaps, solidify my position

before you eradicate it.
