You will never know the effort I went through

to clean this apartment

to make it presentable

sanctified, safe.

You could not imagine

the demons expunged

the scents washed away

the filth eradicated

all for your oblivious inspections.

You would not think it possible,

the amount of work put into making this home

a reasonable

reliable, relentlessly loving locale

(which it had never been before).

You will never know the effort I went through

and perhaps that's just as well.
