Mary loved her son

despite all the trouble he caused.

She believed in him

sometimes more than He did.

She had a faith

that was undeniable

a faith

that was stronger than the times

and government allowed.

She would have rebelled violently

for him

and might have

had her faith been weaker

and her not the boy she raised.

Mary loved her son

would do anything for her firstborn

and, perhaps it is too much to ask
