MOSES
When Moses said to "Let my people go,"
it was fairly unnecessary.
He was already free
and was capable of taking his folk
off with him
as quickly as they desired to go.
It was not a matter of the Pharaoh allowing departure
as the slaves having the will
to unshackle themselves
to choose to be unchained
and go off into the dessert.
It had little to do with Pharaoh
and everything to do with Moses.
"Let me go."
