AGAIN

You know

despite what you say now

despite the revisionist history

you spray across our lives

a graffiti vandal

blanketing our past

with your newer influences

despite what you presently believe

we had good times.

We have memories that should be shared

not wiped away

not ignored

not blatantly rewritten.

We have a life

that was worth remembering

and perhaps,

someday, repeating

disregarding what you say

despite what you believe.
