GHOST STORIES

The dead sleep lightly

with the living so noisily overhead

spitting, pissing,

dripping out life

so loudly

that the dead have no chance

to experience an end.

The world does not stop for the dead

and the dead cannot slow the world down

for even an instant.

Try as they might

the dead are just like the living

only less so.
