THE MARRIAGE

Jennifer's getting married today.

She says it doesn't mean a thing

it won't change us one iota.

Me, I'm not sure.

She is vowing to have, honor and hold

through all the years of her life

forsaking others

- FORSAKING OTHERS -

until the end.

I see that as a difficulty for our future

and wonder how she sees otherwise.

Still, I haven't the heart

to make this day one of goodbyes.

So I give her my best

and wish her love

and offer her my hand

and hope somehow she stays with me

after she's married Stan.
