THIS THING 3

This bursting thing

I place before you

has leapt out of its cavity

since its first sighting of you.

It has pumped and bumped

onto its neighbors

disturbing the entire environment.

It has caused chaos

and convoluted courses

through my days

as I'd breathe heavily

awkwardly, trying to blend in

when all it wanted to do

was stick out.

This swollen item I hold

has sought to be nearer to you

for as long as it could

and now,

I can carry it no more

and offer you

this blood-filled artifact

and hope you�ll accept

finally taking it off my hands.
