EXPATIATION

She buys hats

to eat them.

She dances with no shoes.

She sings in the shower

- and in the snow

- and in the sunshine.

She lives a life different than ours

than mine.

She wears military gear

spouting peace-words

as she drinks her fruity umbrella-drinks

at Double A conventions.

She lives a life of noisy relaxation

existing as only she can.

I wish I could follow her foot-steps more closely

track which way she'll travel next

but that is her way

she cannot be predicted

cannot be uncovered.

She is free of expectations

and I am enslaved by her charms.
