JAMES JIM JIMMY

When James � when Jim � when Jimmy was offered immortality in exchange for his life

he took a little time to consider

and he though about his lightning life

and the extraordinary occurrences

and the opportunities availed

and he figured he'd hit his

and that a downward spiral was all that was left

unless he took the sharp, jagged descent.

So James � so Jim � so Jimmy, he agreed

he acquiesced

he accepted the exceptional arrangement he martyred himself for our sins

for fifteen minutes

for one hundred years of solitude.

Peter � Pete � Petey, he was submitted a similar situation

but opted to live in the material world

chose to remain

a hero instead of a god.

So Peter � so Pete � so Petey, he was with us,

and waned and deteriorated and died

his thousand deaths

none quite so spectacular as James' � as Jim's � as Jimmy's � one.
