Somebody has to do the right thing.

Someone has to work for justice.

Someone's got to stand up to the bullies

to fight the good fight

to beat back the night

with the force of right combined with might.

We can't all go hiding under our sister's skirts

when things get hectic

we can't all play in the flower garden.

Sometimes, somebody has to be the one to struggle

to strain against the machine

to fight City Hall

with their back against the wall

giving it their all.

There have to be champions.

There have to be crusaders.

There have to be heroes.

And I

I would like to meet them.
