YOUR WINDOW

I didn't look through your window today.

I just passed it by, as if I didn't even know you.

I didn't look to see if you were in

if you were alone

if you were looking for me.

I just rolled past it, as if I didn't know it

as if so many parts of that window and what lay beneath

were not blindingly familiar to me.

I did not look through your window.

I ignored it today

which is a bigger accomplishment than it should be.
