waiting for the world to come to him.

his majesty

his maturity

it saddens me.

He took a perfect good primal beast

and he tamed it

made it loyal

made it royal.

Duke Ellington destroyed as much as he created

but we deemed him a hero

named him the Duke

heir to a musical empire.
