We circle

we hunt.

We search for meanings

within each other

from without

as we try to worm our way in

weaning ourselves off

of others

searching for new lovers

or things to keep us safe.

We move meticulously

from place to place

hoping to resolve things

to find rest

to relax

from this state of perpetual motion

endeavoring to end

our games

of Hide and Seek

of Run Catch Kiss

of Elimination.

We seek surcease

contemplation completion

wish it could all wrap up

so we can withdraw

and conclude these courting tricks.

If we could stop we would.

If we could break we would.

If we could but we can�t.

So the game continues

and the dance goes on.
