We never did it.

Back then,

when we were young,

in school,

when we used to know each other

we didn't know each other

that well.

We didn't speak

much. We didn't say

the things

we should have.

We didn't do it.

We didn't say the words

we were meant to.

It has been so long

too long

to alter the ethers of the past

but, perhaps, for the future

we can make new decisions.

I am not afraid

to repeat

what I never said aloud.
