MODERN TECHNOLOGY XV
Biotechnology has reached a point where it's no longer a concern;
this minor wound you left me with,
it barely bothers me.
It seemed brutal and raw at first, of course,
but in the time we've been apart,
with anesthesia
and antibiotics
and articulated nanobots swimming through my bloodstream,
I have endured.
I have survived.
I have flourished.
Is that too strong? Perhaps.
You see, since you've been gone,
I have been more analytical,
more precise.
This is what happens
when your body is ruled by technology.
This is what happens
when you live without a heart.
