Caesar lives.
He may not know it,
thoughtless ruler,
but Caesar continues
centuries after his empire,
millennia after his bones.


Caesar lives
and infects us
long after his life.
Caesar's virus grows within us.
His wealth, his hunger,
his old boy ways which conquered
so long ago
have never been beaten back.


Caesar hides occasionally.
Sporadically, he rests
and others arrive to replace him
- but never for long.
Again and again
Caesar returns.


Caesar lives.
