He always said he'd be back

but who knew it would take this form?

No one was sure how

but the little Austrian was not done with us

we should have known

that with enough concentration

he would return

at a chaotic time

and do damage to the democratic process.

We should have known

regardless of the moustache

despite the resemblance to another foreign idol

albeit now a great terminator

and not a great dictator

he'd return

with a limited popular vote

but enough

to return

as the demagogue we thought we'd lost forever.

He's back amongst us

just as he'd promised

in another time

threatening us

with new predations to come.
