RAIN

You call this rain?

Where I come from we call this mist.

There's a drop or two down

and you call out the National Guard.

MY people know from hardship!

A flood or two?

Means nothing to us.

Jut Grin and Bear it,

that's our motto

when it's not First in Fight.

We are an aggressive people.

In the last war

we took out eleven men for every nine of ours.

Can you all say the same?

But back to the rains.

When the going gets wet

in my land

the wet go swimming.

We take out our boats and act like it's Venice or Vienna or Vermouth

wherever the hell they do that rowing crap.

We don't weep and sweat and spit

adding to the waterfalliage

increasing the workload.

No, we roll up our sleeves

and make nature salute.

We are the masters of our domain

we New Yorkers.

And if you Queens County Critters don't like it

well, just cry me a river.
